On behalf of the Connect Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and Pastors Devin and Ashley Webb, thank you for your interest in the 2025 Connect Leadership Intensive (CLI).

CLI is a 12-Month program designed to develop the leadership potential of those who feel called to advance the mission of Connect Church through local church ministry.

It is an incredible honor to serve in God’s house and a tremendous joy to walk with people. However, we cannot overlook the fundamental truth that ministry work is WORK and we must make the commitment to grow and be strengthened by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the call God has on our lives.

Completing the CLI program will broaden your understanding of ministry work and empower the use of your spiritual gifts to the fullest potential. Throughout the 12 month intensive, participants will experience 5 modules that take a deep dive into areas such as a deeper understanding of the mission and vision of Connect Church, our core values and leadership behavioral values, and biblically based leadership principals that apply to every area of life – not just ministry.

Every month participants will complete an assigned book reading, personal assessment and book review, and a one-on-one (1:1) meeting with CLI leadership.

CLI Group Semesters

Winter | Spring Trimester – Freedom Group

Part of every leader’s journey is the Freedom journey. For each of us, our identity should be secure as God’s sons and daughters, but there are things that keep us from truly understanding and experiencing this.

In our Freedom Groups, we will look at our past and present through self-awareness to see if there are things holding us back from the future that God has prepared for us. Freedom Groups are not just about knowledge acquisition, but taking the knowledge we acquire and allowing our lives to be transformed through the love of the Father, the power of Jesus and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The goal is to learn how to press into the purpose God has for us through increased, accurate self-awareness that is Spirit-led.

Summer Trimester – Connect 101

Every church leadership team has a core value system they establish and rely upon to create a unified vision for how ministry will be carried out within their context. At Connect, we work to connect people to God, People and Purpose with the conviction that every person can experience more in their life.

We protect the culture of Connect Church by living every day by our core values knowing that it is not what we do that defines us, but how we do it. In this semester, you will experience the heart of the ministry at Connect through teachings that support and point towards our core and leadership behavioral values.

Fall Trimester – Connect Lead and Ministry Internship

“Connect Lead” is designed to help you unpack all that you are experiencing through CLI. We will unpack leadership principles and have group discussions around tensions in serving, learning to lead, developing honor and much more.

“Ministry internship”: No matter what specific area of ministry you find yourself in, there are always foundational leadership principles needed to set you up for success. Once you have had the opportunity to hone those leadership values, we look forward to releasing you into the area of ministry you feel called to serve with a heightened level of ministerial responsibility.

During this semester, you will be partnering with the leadership team of the ministry of your choice to experience the next level of leadership available to you through practical work within the context of that department. This may include managing a project to display your leadership ability in an effort to propel the vision of ministry forward.

CLI 1:1 Monthly Meetings

Participants will meet with a member of the Connect Church staff every month by the 10th of the month. During the 1:1 meeting, discussion will take place around the following questions:

    1. Personal | Health & Balance – Spiritual, Soul, Mental, Physical, Family
    2. Purpose | Are you walking in your purpose?
    3. People | Authentic Relationships – Where are the tension points?
    4. Priority | What are your current priorities?
    5. Perspective | Where do you need clarity?

During the 1:1 meeting participants will share their key takeaways from the recent book completion and will review the results of the latest monthly Values Assessment.
